Role DescriptionAs a Director of Analytics and Data Science at LEAD School, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of data-driven strategies and solutions across the organization with a team of around 10-15 team members. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, school leadership, and business operations to drive the growth and success of LEAD School. You will report to the Chief Product Officer.
Roles and responsibilities1/ Custodian of truth about business performance:i/ Build tools and products that eliminate the need for data in Excel sheets in the organization – all data, analysis and recommendations are readily available at the fingertips, which becomes a single source of truth.ii/ Till we reach this reality, solve these needs with an analytics services team.2/ Enhance our predictive modelling and data science capabilities to ensure that all our operations are optimized with the best prediction models. This includes areas like demand forecasting, churn modelling, sales optimization, etc. Further, build a culture of “We don’t stop at modelling – we stop at delivering business results” in the analytics organization.
This would mean coaching and working with the teams to continually focus on the end business impact and working towards it.3/ Evolve to an AI-first organization (from currently an AI-conscious organization) by evangelizing and delivering benefits from machine learning or AI. This would include building capabilities like personalized learning for kids, content generation with Generative AI etc. What we are looking for1/ 10+ years of experience in a combination of data science, analytics, consulting or product.2/ Strong understanding of statistical modelling and machine learning techniques, and experience of using these to deliver end business impact.3/ At some point of time in your career, hands-on experience in data manipulation languages (e.g., SQL), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau), and data science tools (e.g., Python, R, SAS)4/ Experience in Generative AI is a plus5/ Significant leadership experience in analytics units of a product company OR in analytics consulting engagements6/ Excellent communication, leadership and people-management skills
