Job Summary:
The Playschool Centre Head is responsible for the overall management and administration of the playschool center. This includes overseeing the daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for young children, managing staff, and building positive relationships with parents. The Playschool Centre Head plays a crucial role in creating a stimulating and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children aged 2 to 6 years.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Administration:
Provide effective leadership to create a positive and supportive work environment.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Manage budgetary aspects, including financial planning and reporting.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise teaching and support staff.
Conduct regular staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Foster a collaborative and cohesive team atmosphere.
Curriculum Development:
Work closely with curriculum developers to implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Ensure that teaching methodologies align with best practices in early childhood education.
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the curriculum and make adjustments as needed.
Student Welfare:
Ensure the well-being and safety of all children in the playschool center.
Implement health and safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Address behavioral issues and collaborate with parents for resolution.
Parent and Community Engagement:
Build positive relationships with parents through effective communication and regular updates.
Organize parent-teacher meetings and events to foster a sense of community.
Act as a liaison between the playschool and the broader community.
Facility Management:
Oversee the maintenance of the playschool facility and equipment.
Ensure a clean, safe, and child-friendly environment.
Coordinate with external service providers for maintenance and repairs.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local licensing regulations and accreditation standards.
Keep abreast of changes in early childhood education laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Prior experience in a leadership role within a playschool or early childhood education setting.
Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards for playschools.
Ability to handle administrative tasks, including budget management.
