Job Summary: As an Art & Design Teacher specializing in the CAIE curriculum, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education in visual arts and design to students. This role involves curriculum development, instructional planning, student assessment, and fostering a creative and supportive learning environment.Responsibilities:Curriculum Development:Design and develop a comprehensive Art & Design curriculum in accordance with CAIE standards, ensuring alignment with the latest syllabus requirements.Incorporate a variety of artistic techniques, mediums, and styles into the curriculum.Classroom Instruction:Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in visual arts and design, catering to diverse learning styles.Foster creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills among students.CAIE Syllabus Adherence:Stay updated on changes and updates in the CAIE Art & Design syllabus.Ensure that lesson plans and instructional materials align with CAIE requirements.Student Assessment:Develop and implement assessments, including coursework, projects, and examinations, to evaluate students’ artistic abilities and understanding.Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student development.Technology Integration:Incorporate relevant technology tools and digital art techniques into the teaching process.Familiarize students with digital design software and tools as per CAIE guidelines.Individualized Support:Provide additional guidance and support to students with varying artistic abilities.Offer one-on-one assistance to help students refine their skills and projects.Professional Development:Engage in ongoing professional development, attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions related to Art and design education and CAIE curriculum.Pursue additional certifications or qualifications to enhance teaching expertise.Collaboration:Collaborate with colleagues within the Art & Design department and across other disciplines.Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to curriculum planning, and share best practices.Extracurricular Activities:Organize and support extracurricular activities related to Art and design, such as art exhibitions, workshops, or creative contests.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience, with a focus on the CAIE curriculum.Demonstrated expertise in various art forms, including traditional and digital mediums.Proficiency in using technology tools and digital design software.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
