At Kraftshala, we believe that higher education in India and across the globe lacks accountability to the students they are meant to serve, in large part because the people working in the system aren’t provided meaningful incentives to improve career outcomes for students. It’s also what keeps the best industry practitioners from getting involved in training, perpetuating a culture of mediocrity.

What is the recruitment process:
As a small team (~50 folks), it’s imperative that we get to know each other before taking the leap. We want to ensure you succeed in your role within our team. Each conversation with us will last about 40-75 minutes, except the first call which is a short one to understand expectations. Typically the whole process takes between 10 – 20 business days depending on your and our schedules. The process will occur over telephonic/zoom calls, so you don’t need to worry about travel.
Once we receive your application, these steps will follow:
Skill Assessment Task: This will be a task that assesses you on some of the core skills you’ll need to succeed in this role.
Technical conversation: This will be a telephonic call with a senior member of the team wherein you can expect to be evaluated on your functional skills and other competencies needed for the job, mentioned below.
Culture fit conversation: A telephonic conversation with our Founder/CEO to ensure that there is a fit with the Kraftshala Kode.
Extending an offer: If all goes well, we will extend an offer mentioning the relevant details.
Product Manager, Tech Team – Role Description
What you will be doing:
We operate a number of consumer products across web and mobile that are used by thousands of India’s high potential professionals to learn, get mentored from business leaders and transform their careers. These products are built on React.js and Redux in the front-end and PHP and Node.js with MongoDB and MySQL in the back-end.
Your goal will be to take these products to the next level of user experience by:
Manage the entire product lifecycle starting from conceptualization, creation of product roadmap & strategy, incorporation of best practices, managing product launches & continuous improvements.
Dissect and understand core user flow, learning experience, and engagement mechanics as well as the metrics to which they are tied
Understand and grasp project requirements, write specs and effectively communicate the same to dev teams and other stakeholder teams. Work with them to figure the most elegant solutions.
Create product requirement documents (PRDs) with wireframes, clear use cases and test cases
Leverage analytics data and user feedback to identify & resolve pain points and continuously improve learning and experience.
Analyze feature performance & device solvable methods /fixes by working with the developer team.
Prioritize features, requests, asks from various teams, keeping in mind user impact, business impact & dev costs
Be Responsible for driving key conversion and experience metrics.
Must Haves:
2-4 years of strong and relevant experience in technical product management role.
2-4 years of strong and relevant experience in any one of the following:
Designing or Development (coding) of product from scratch
Quality Assurance of technical product (including unit and integration testing
An analytical, data driven mindset to write great specs with minimal edits & take feedback from multiple perspectives but apply logic & fair hypothesis
Ability to organize, manage, and prioritize tasks. Prior experience working with engineering through complete technology product lifecycle..
High ownership and responsibility to independently manage projects
Great communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders
Sharp eye for detail
Learning agility to ride a fast growth curve
Must be an innovative, strategic thinker and must be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with changing priorities
