Desired Candidate Profile

  • Applicants should hold Ph.D. in the relevant disciplines from reputed Institutions, reputed Foreign Universities and must be holding BJMC/B.A. JMC and MJMC/M.A. JMC degree.
  • Should have minimum 12 years of experience after Ph.D. in Teaching, Industry & Research with reputed Institutions /Industries. Although candidates who have achieved the rank of Professor , HOD and Associate Dean are preferred if they possess exceptional leadership and administrative experience.
  • Should have research papers published in International / National Journals of good reputation with good H-index).
  • Should have books published by National/International Publishers and Ph.D. Scholars awarded / currently working for.
  • Applicants with patents granted / consultancy works carried out will be given preference.
  • Applicants with experience in working or setting up research centres shall be preferred.
  • Experienced in organizing National/International conferences/symposiums/Seminars shall be preferred.
  • Should be potential for leadership in Research and of Institutional building.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Academic and Administrative management at the institution /Department level.
  • Creating a strategic vision and managing strategic planning processes aligned with broader university strategic goals.
  • Takes responsibility for leading the school with vision, creativity and excellence.
  • Provides collaborative and collegial leadership for the school.
  • Preparing projects for funding in areas of R&D work, laboratory development, modernization, expansion etc.,
  • Develops, implements, promotes, and evaluates curriculum and Supervises the management, development, and evaluation of curriculum for the School.
  • Helping mobilization of resources for the Institution.
  • Plan and implement Staff Development activities, conduct Performance Appraisal.
  • Maintain Accountability /Ethical standards.
  • Design of good extension programmes and establish Industrial Connectivity.
  • Providing R&D support and consultancy services to Industry and other user agencies.
  • Providing non-formal modes of education for the benefits of the Community.
  • Promotion of Entrepreneurship and Job rotation.
  • Dissemination of knowledge through different Teaching Pedagogies.
  • Providing support in areas of social relevance.
  • Oversees the overall assessment program and for ensuring that relevant accreditation standards are followed and maintained.
