Job Summary:
The individual will design and support the development of high-quality learning materials for clients. In this role, the individual will have an opportunity to work across several projects that involve the design and delivery of blended, engaging, and interactive learning programmes. The individual should be prepared to work in a dynamic environment with changing requirements and frequent interactions with onsite engagement teams and clients.
The individual will need knowledge and skills in Instructional Design, Learning Content Development, and the related technologies.
As an Instructional Designer, the individual will support the delivery of learning projects addressing specific business needs. This includes liaising with Functional Consultants/Subject Matter Experts to gain an understanding of the subject, development of ID assets, and support for the development of end user learning materials.
Key Responsibilities:
· Demonstrates knowledge on the latest industry trends
· Performs project management activities such as gathering required information for the project, developing a project plan, defining a budget, obtaining approvals, and delivering the project within the planned time and budget
· Develops writing standards and guidelines based on the customer requirements
Qualification:
· Experience of developing digital courses through a complete instructional systems design (ISD) lifecycle and designing training content in several formats and styles, according to audience requirements
· An understanding of applications of learning theories, instructional design strategies, instructional psychology, and learning styles to meet the curriculum objectives
· An advanced-level proficiency in written and spoken English
· An advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Experience of using software for screen recording & editing (Camtasia), web content authoring (Articulate Storyline/Adobe Captivate) and ILT deck creation
· A thorough understanding of the need for project standards and experience of adhering to different standards for written and visual content
· Familiarity with SCORM standards and specifications
· Experience of managing a range of stakeholders that exhibits a sound understanding of the stakeholder management process
· Excellent communication skills
· Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work to meet strict deadlines
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others collaboratively
Additional/Desirable Requirements:
· Experience of working on a variety of topics such as soft skills, finance, software, and non-software technologies
· Ability to determine ways to evaluate business impacts of learning
Education / Years of Work Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
· 4-10 years of experience working in a similar role
