Job Description

We’re looking for a Librarian to manage the library at our school as per the CBSE guidelines, encourage the students to read more and develop the love for literature.

Objectives Of This Role

• Manage the school library as per the CBSE standards and the educational needs and abilities of the students
• Create a library culture that is welcoming, positive, and inclusive
• Plan and prepare library activities along with other teachers to promote reading and better learning
• Communicate, cooperate, and consult with school staff, and parents/guardians in the students’ best interest
• Identify and groom students for various literary competitions and social initiatives

Daily And Monthly Responsibilities

• Utilize a wide variety of modern library management methods to create differentiated opportunities for deep understanding for all learners, including students with special needs
• Create and distribute educational supports, including reading material, activities, using visual/audio accompaniments to facilitate interactive learning
• Plan and execute educational in-library, and outdoor activities and events
• Collaborate with the Learning Specialists, School Counselor, Assistant Principal, and Principal in providing students with academic and social support, and attend family/support meetings as needed
• Attend all teacher training programs, seminars and events organized by the school

Skills And Qualifications

• Excellent English language skills
• Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Zoom Meetings
• Proven participation in theatre, sports, literary events or social work

Educational Qualifications

• Graduate Degree And Diploma in Library Sciences

Experience

• Two years of experience in Teaching
