Admission Counselor

Job Roles & Responsibilities

•Counsel the parent for student on admission, convince them to get admission as per the policies and procedures

•Counsel Parents on admission policies and procedures offer solutions to applicant problems and requests regarding admission via telephone or F2F and in writing

•Work closely with the Zonal for Schools admission in making admission decisions for school programs in accordance with admission guidelines

•Coordinate application completion activities with students, admission offices, and individual departments

•Reviews student records, inputs data and generates letters and/or lists utilizing applicant databases

•Gather data and prepare reports for reporting to the Dean and departments and for use in managing the enrollment and application & admission processes

•Stay current on a wide range of other schools policies, and global educational trends affecting  students, admissions and special programs

•Work closely with the zonal and Ops manager for graduate admission and assist with admission decisions for graduate programs in accordance with admission guidelines

•Perform detailed evaluation and calculations for a large volume of students applications. 

Skills Set & Requirements

•Good experience in  Admissions conversions and Student Services teams

•Should have 1+ years’ experience in the admission counselor’s role. 

•Should have basic Degree or Master from any steam 

•Should have Strong communication and negotiations & Convincing skills to convert the lead into admissions

•Work closely with the zonal and Operations team for admissions and manage specific demographic of large applicant pool

•Coordinate review of MS applications with faculty and/or advisors

•Perform detailed evaluation of applications from a number of domestic and international institutions

•Assist with a variety of special schools programs and under the new schools trends

•Help maintain school admission website pages and communication templates
