JOB DESCRIPTION: Senior Facilitator (Early Years)

Entity: Museum of Solutions (MuSo)

Location: Mumbai (Lower Parel)

Salary: INR 60,000 – 75,000 | 7.2 – 9LPA

Role: Full-time (Open to work on Weekends)

ABOUT MUSO: The Museum of Solutions (MuSo) is the rst-of-its-kind experiential childrens
museum in India that aims to inspire, enable and empower children to create a positive
change in the world. Coming up in Lower Parel, Mumbai, MuSo’s exhibits and programs are
inspired by the UNSGDs and designed to cultivate the knowledge, skills, and mindset that kids
need to solve the challenges they see around them. The museum has a Make Lab, a
makerspace with a variety of hands-on labs that help deliver MuSo’s learning goals through
engaging workshops, activities, and projects.

MuSo is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Facilitator to lead and oversee our early years
workshops at the Museum of Solutions. As a Senior Facilitator, you will play a vital role in
creating engaging and educational experiences for young children, fostering their curiosity,
creativity, and love for learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Facilitation
Deliver interactive, age-appropriate workshops tailored to children aged 3 to 6
years old, with a focus on promoting critical thinking, exploration, and
play-based learning at the Play Lab at MuSo
Facilitate and deliver open atelier activities for toddlers and pre-schoolers,
families and school groups.
Lead workshop sessions with condence and energy, fostering a positive and
inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation.
Employ various teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and
abilities among young children.
Incorporate storytelling, hands-on activities, and sensory experiences to
enhance children’s understanding and enjoyment.

Play Lab Classroom and Atelier Management
Create and manage inventory for art supplies and materials in the Play Lab
classroom, conduct weekly audit of supplies and place purchase requirements
to the reporting manager on a weekly/ monthly basis.
Ensure audit, safe operation and maintenance of learning manipulators on the
Play atelier
Ensure that all activities adhere to safety guidelines and regulations and
implement proper safety measures and protocols during workshops.
Manage opening/ closing of the classrooms and atelier as well as set up and
clean up

Workshop Development
Assist in creating and implementing engaging, age-appropriate workshops for
early years that align with MuSos learning and engagement model through
weekly meetings with the team to provide ideas, inputs and feedback for
workshops

Monitoring and Evaluation
Monitor and evaluate eectiveness of programs and their implementation and
provide feedback reports to the program design team.

Capacity Development
Attend regular in-house training sessions to upskill on visitor engagement
techniques
Stay updated on the various trends and best practices in informal learning
spaces, facilitator training, attend conferences and professional development
opportunities.

Leadership
provide mentorship and support to junior facilitators and volunteers, fostering a
culture of creativity, continuous learning, and professional growth.

Essential prerequisites :

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a
related eld. Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience: 3 years+ of proven experience in designing and facilitating engaging
educational workshops for young children, preferably in a pre-school, museum,
educational institution, or similar setting.
Pedagogical Prociency: Strong understanding of early child development principles
and age-appropriate teaching methodologies and creative mindset and a air for
creating innovative, hands-on learning experiences.
Passion for Working with Children: Genuine enthusiasm for working with young minds
and creating transformative experiences for them
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact eectively with
children, families, school groups, and colleagues.
Team Collaboration: Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, share
creative ideas, and actively participate in planning and brainstorming sessions.
Weekend work: Willingness to work on weekends. Weekly off in lieu will be provided.

learners’ interest.
Adaptability: Exhibit exibility to tailor workshop content to suit the unique needs and
dynamics of each group of children, ensuring a meaningful and personalized learning
experience.
Communication: Possess exceptional communication skills, esp. with young children
and adults, promoting eective interactions and understanding.
Safety: Demonstrate a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of children.
Adhere to health and safety protocols and ensure that workshop materials are
age-appropriate and hazard-free.
Organization and Time Management: E ciently manage time to conduct workshops,
handle administrative tasks, and ensure the smooth operations. Maintain
well-organized inventory and supplies.
