JoVE is looking for a full-time Motion Graphics Illustrator. This position is for creative and scientific enthusiasts who would love to create and manage illustration assets for animated educational videos.

Responsibilities:

• Review storyboards and create the required vector assets from scientific reference to be used in motion graphic animated videos
• Assist in the migration and management of Digital Asset Management system
• Ensure all assets are delivered as per set timeline and required quality standards
• Responsible for curating and updating legacy assets using Adobe Illustrator

Qualifications:

• Extremely proficient in Adobe Illustrator
• Great written and oral communication skills
• Ability to create assets with animation in mind
• Demonstrable knowledge of art theory: line, shape, color, texture, proportion, and perspective
• Hand drawing and digital painting skills
• Be an eager team-player and open to receiving constructive feedback.
• Reliable commitment and work ethic
• Ability to work independently with little direction
• Great attention to detail with project and asset organization
• This is not an animation position but an understanding of Animation and After Effects is beneficial
• Interest or background in biology, chemistry, or other science

**As part of the selection process, you will be asked to complete an Illustration Test to evaluate your comprehension of instructions, attention to detail, and Adobe Illustrator skills. This is a paid test assignment.
