Job Description
Job Title : Deputy Medical Superintendent/ Medical Superintendent – Medical Administration
Job Purpose – To assist the VP Operations substantially and effectively in the delivery of Diagnostic, Surgical, Medical and Administrative Services to all inpatients and outpatients within the defined geography.
Core Responsibilities
- To effectively interface with the patients attendants/ physicians & HODs
- To design and implement effective Medical, Nursing and Paramedical staff model in conjunction with Regional Director Medical Operations & HODs.
- To represent the Hospital for all medico-legal issues.
- To assist the Regional Director- Medical Operations in planning, organizing & managing all Medical Services.
- To work in close collaboration with unit heads to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients and personnel.
- To oversee the work of Biomedical Engineers & Dieticians.
- To ensure effective Implementation of Policies and Procedures those are laid down by Medical Affairs, Department/ HODs.
- To work in close collaboration with Operations/Medical/Para Medical/ Nursing to ensure Implementation of approved Quality & CRM Programs.
- To administratively manage all the RMO/ Attending and Associate level doctors.
- To ensure timely meeting on infection control, quality improvements, etc.
- To ensure all clinical policies and procedures within the Hospital meets the requirements of licensing or accrediting bodies.
- To assist ET/CA in reviewing and responding to any Medical Review by state of local surveys, inspections and accreditation.
- To assist ET/CA for completion of statutory, statistical and annual reports.
- To work in close collaboration with Consultants, Nursing and other Clinical services to ensure delivery of world class Healthcare services.
- To take a leadership role in ensuring availability of trained medical staff.
- To assist ET/CA in working out business aligned budgets and optimize cost.
- To be well groomed, punctual and adhere to company policies and practices.
- Inventory control, cost control, material mgt and all statutory medical compliances and other parameters
- To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
Minimum Qualifications
- MBBS preferably with a Diploma in Hospital Administration/ Masters in Business Administration or equivalent.
Experience
- Preferably with 5 to 8+ years of experience with a minimum of 3 years as Administrative Head / AMS / DMS
