Jio Institute Hiring For Assistant / Associate Librarian – Metadata at Navi Mumbai, Mahārāshtra Full Time

Reporting to the Associate Director, Public Services, General Admin & Collection Development

• Facilitate activities including accessioning and other registers as well as manage cataloguing, classification, labeling, due date slip spine, barcoding, stamping and shelving of all the library’s resources
• Serve as the primary point of contact for metadata and language expert for technical services
• Perform the tasks of creation, organization and maintenance of system – wide digital content
• Work with team members to evaluate, select and apply metadata schema and techniques, standards, data elements to provide description and access to Jio Library’s collections
• Participate in research and development projects relevant to metadata discovery interoperability, and identity management, including the development of linked data
• Collaborate with acquisition librarian to manage and provide assistance in ordering, managing and cataloguing materials
• Support the Associate Director Library Technologies, Systems & Services in processes to further enhance the quality of the facilities and services
