Job Description:
The Professor, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, will play a critical role in advancing JKKN Dental College and Hospital’s vision and mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and patient care in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in oral and maxillofacial surgery

Conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals

Provide patient care in the college’s oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic

Mentor and advise students and junior faculty

Participate in department and college committees and initiatives

Represent the college and department in professional organizations and events

Qualification:
A MDS degree in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery or a related field is essential. The degree should be from a recognized and accredited institution.

include a residency or fellowship training program, clinical practice experience, and board certification or eligibility in oral maxillofacial surgery.

Demonstrated experience and expertise in teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels is typically required. This can include delivering lectures, leading seminars and practical sessions, developing curriculum materials, and assessing student performance.

A strong record of research and scholarly activities in oral maxillofacial surgery is important. This can include publications in peer-reviewed journals, conference presentations, and participation in research projects. Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and grants is advantageous.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective teaching, research collaboration, and interaction with colleagues, students, and external partners. The ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate leadership skills is advantageous.
