Job Description:
The Maths Assistant Professor in the Department of Science and Humanities will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate level mathematics courses, conducting research, and participating in departmental and institutional activities. The successful candidate will also be expected to engage in scholarly activities and contribute to the department’s research initiatives.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field from an accredited institution

Strong teaching experience at the college or university level

A proven record of research and scholarly activities in the field of mathematics

Ability to collaborate with colleagues in interdisciplinary projects

Commitment to professional development and continuing education

Responsibilities :
Teaching undergraduate and graduate level mathematics courses, including developing course content, delivering lectures, leading discussions and seminars, and conducting assessments and evaluations.

Conducting research and publishing scholarly articles in the field of mathematics.

Participating in departmental and institutional activities, such as advising students, serving on committees, and contributing to departmental initiatives.

Engaging in professional development and continuing education activities to stay current with advancements in the field of mathematics.

Collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.

Maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering student engagement and providing constructive feedback to students.

Maintaining accurate records of student performance and assessment results.

Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to decision-making processes.

Maintaining currency in their field by keeping abreast of new developments and advancements through reading, attending conferences, and conducting research.

Pure Mathematics

Mathematical Modeling

Mathematical Analysis

Numerical Analysis

Discrete Mathematics

Statistics, or a related field.
