iTeach Schools is a fast-growing start-up, focused on providing a free, foundational and excellent education to secondary students. We currently operate 6 Grade VIII to Grade X schools, in a collaborative initiative with the PMC School Board and our funding partners. Our 6 schools serve about 1100 students and 330 alumni. The secondary grade are the last lap of intervention for these students, and most probably the only chance we have left to level the playing field between them and their high income peers. We are looking for exceptional instructional leaders to serve as Senior Teachers at our schools

Responsibilities and Duties

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain focus on high student achievement, modeling excellent instruction and supporting student development
• Design and present units and lessons that will engage students to learns skills and concepts at a deep level
• Use data to drive decision making around planning and execution
• Identify and select instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles and special needs
• Design a variety of assessments to understand how students are learning and to evaluate their progress
• To execute lessons effectively with strong management and opportunities for students to learn actively and receive feedback
• Communicate learning goals and objectives to students at the beginning of academic year, unit and every lesson
• Build a positive school culture that supports students’ academic, extracurricular, cultural and socio/emotional needs
• Ensure that disciplinary guidelines are fairly and consistently applied
• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with students, parents, community and school team
• Communicate with students, teachers and parents about student progress
• Provide for transparent, constructive and ongoing evaluation of self and peers

Qualifications and Skills

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree with exceptional teaching experience in Maths of 0-5 years
• Preferred: B.ed degree in content area of choice

Competencies:

• Advanced proficiency in Unit Planning, Lesson Planning and Execution
• Extremely driven with flexible work timings
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Demonstrates strong work ethic, willingness to learn and critical reflection
• Strong instructional knowledge and expertise

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹26,000.00 – ₹33,000.00 per month
