Job Profile:

Designing and conducting (in-person & virtual) technology training programs for teachers and teacher educators across different colleges, schools as well as government and non-government officials for
using and deploying different software applications, including educational applications.

Coordinating with teachers, teacher educators on ICT – Integrated programs at schools/colleges.
3

Visiting schools/colleges regularly to support the team to run ICT integrated programs smoothly and support teachers teacher educators to hardware and software installation at partner institutions.

Training teachers/teacher educators to create digital resources using different mobile and computer-based FOSS applications.
5

Helping resources creators to create and upload digital resources on OER repositories like Moodle, WordPress, and MediaWiki based platforms
6

Developing Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) applications user manuals, video tutorials, and other
resources that will help learners to learn digital tools and adopt in their learning process.

Exploring and training on mobile-based and computer-based digital technologies to help teachers to use them in their teaching and learning process.

Installing, configuring, using, and troubleshooting different software applications

We work with a wide
variety of software applications in different areas, including Desktop publishing, resources creation
applications, multimedia (audio and video editing), website management, apart from the operating system,
office suite etc.

Providing technical support to the organization in using different free software applications

Include exploring and training in different Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) applications as projects required.

Configuration and maintenance of the Internet, network LAN, WAN in office, and in other workshop places.
11

Customising and testing Linux-based Operating Systems (OS) as per the user’s requirements

We customize and distribute FOSS operating systems as per the organization and project requirements.
12

Developing/customizing/maintaining websites using Drupal, WordPress, Moodle, and MediaWiki software to build and maintain websites.

Preferred Qualifications:
1

A BSC, BCA, BE, B Tech, Diploma (in Computer Science) or
any other graduate candidate who have the mentioned skills can also apply:

Candidates with 2-5 years in a similar role providing technology training will be considered for the position of “Project Associate” and candidates with 0-2 years relevant experience will be considered for the position of ‘Project Assistant”.

Desired Skills & Qualities
1

Should know different webinar platforms to conduct training for teachers, teacher educators and students.
2

Needs to have some knowledge about Linux or any other Open-source FOSS OS and tools.
3

Must be fluent in English and Kannada

Additionally, reasonable fluency in speaking
Hindi and good communication skills are a plus.
4

Is willing to travel around Karnataka and around India when required.
5

Candidate needs to have the interest to give training on different FOSS tools to the teachers, teacher
educators (include school students).
6

Willingness to learn new FOSS technologies and tools and train others.
7

Working knowledge of the installation of computer hardware/software.
8

Age preference between 24 and 30 years.

Location:
The place of work will be Bengaluru, Karnataka with occasional travel across different places in Karnataka and India.
