Roles and responsibilities of Online School principal
 Developing a strategic plan for the School, in consultation with the Director, including the preparation of a staffing and resource plan.
 Engaging the staff of the School in devising and agreeing the School’s plan.
 Reviewing the performance of the School in terms of its objectives as stated in its strategic plan and in its staffing and resource plan.
 Managing and monitoring of the implementation of the resource allocation process within the School.
 Dealing with crew recruitment matters that fall within the remit of the School.
 Membership of the Selection Committees for all appointments in the School.
 Creating a supportive working environment for all crew in the School and fostering their career development.
 Ensuring that staff review and development is completed in a timely manner (including PMP).
 Handling grievance procedures for crew when it is escalated.
 Managing relevant disciplinary procedures for both staff and students.
 Having overall responsibility for the management of the School’s programme of teaching and research and the implementation of the school’s academic policy.
 Ensuring the effective delivery of high quality teaching and the maintenance of academic standards.
 Promoting a culture of learning that is directed to student needs, and of teaching that is informed by the research interests of the School’s crew.
 Provide direction and support to teaching staff to achieve school academic goals.
 Analyze staff problems and develop action plans.
 Address administration issues in a timely and accurate manner.
 Evaluate academic programs and extracurricular activities and recommend improvements.
 Assist in student enrollment and withdrawal activities.
 Monitor and promote student instructional programs.
 Monitor and track staff contribution to student progress.
 Work with staff to improve instructional programs that help in enhancing students’ learning interests.
