- Responsible for classroom operations, daily execution of lesson plan and taking care of young children
- Looking after young children’s basic needs such as engaging them in activities, feeding meals, and putting them to nap
- Maintaining order and inculcating good manners and values
- Telling Indic stories of valour, ithihasas, puranas
- Ability to converse in English and Hindi or Kannada (Additional languages like Telugu and Tamil are a plus but not mandatory.
We are looking for Teachers who can provide a fun and enriching learning environment which takes the best from our Indian culture and the Western Pedagogy. That which takes care of the body, mind and spiritual needs of the children. One who can collaborate, innovate and execute diligently the academics rigour whilst providing a safe, loving playful environ. One who can plan events, festivals, celebrations, games etc. Help each child blossom aligned to his /her interests.3-5 years plus work experience will be a plus.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of early child development milestones and child related concepts and practices
- Basic Computer skills including MS Office
- Being good in Art/ Story-telling skills, communication skills etc.
- Maintains required reports and records for every child in the class in the app/diary as the case may be.
- Manage the classroom interiors with relevant art and craft to provide a playful learning environment.
- Ensures safety for the child and is loving/kind to them.
- Ensures periodic communiques’ to parents
- Is innovative whilst lesson planning for day to day classes
- Makes monthly and weekly planners
- Ensures that the lesson planners (post approval from Academics’ Head) is adhered to.
- Ensures that observations and assessments of children are carried out daily/weekly.
- Ideating, planning, and executing events, trips, celebrations etc. along with colleagues, as per the Events Calendar
- Ensures the safety, health, hygiene and security of the child along with the other teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Take care during lunch and playtime sessions.
- Guiding assistant teachers and support staff and giving them feedback as required
- Notifying centre head of any exceptions which are not BAU.
- Interacting with parents to discuss child’s progress and other needs during PTA’s and on need basis.
- 3-5 years plus work experience will be a plus.

Qualifications Degree in Early Childhood Education (NTT, Montessori, ECE, CIDTT trained) preferred/ or a Graduation in any subject
Work Timings : 9 am to 2.30 pm; 12 pm to 6 pm
Work location : Virchus Preschool, Whitefield, Bangalore
