Job summary:
Inventure Academy, one of Bangalore’s leading international schools, is looking for dynamic teachers to help our learners unlock their innate potential and set the foundation to thrive in an ever changing new world. We are seeking nurturing and passionate Pre-Primary School teachers who will provide a safe and engaging learning environment for young learners and facilitate their development through play & inquiry-based and experiential learning activities.
Key areas you will be responsible for/job description:
- Co-create/develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and educational goals.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment for young learners.
- Facilitate the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children through play & inquiry-based and experiential learning activities.
- Assess and monitor the progress of each child and provide regular feedback to parents and the Inventure leadership team.
- Collaborate with other teachers, staff members, and parents to create a cohesive and supportive learning community.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and development.
- Participate in school events and activities, such as parent-teacher conferences and school-wide celebrations and events.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Attend professional development activities to stay up-to-date with best practices, including in early childhood education.
Competencies and job qualifications required:
Education:
- Bachelor degree (preferably in Early Childhood education) from an accredited institution
- B.Ed and/or Valid Teaching Certification (NTT/CITDL/Montessori, etc.) would be highly desirable.
Experience:
- Ideally at least 3 years of teaching experience in teaching pre-primary in reputed preschools. Experience in an international school will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based teaching
- Phonics training expected

- Foster a classroom environment that is safe, supportive, inclusive, and promotes engagement and learning.
- Have a passion for working with young learners and provide exceptional pastoral care
- Set an example of positive behavior by being energetic and developing effective relationships with students, parents and team members
- Strong content knowledge
- Demonstrated understanding of child development
- Strong understanding of the subjects, with an ability to convey this to learners
- Capable of teaching Early Years students in any grade, from PreK to UKG
