International School Eindhoven Vacancy Teaching Assistant Position: Teaching Assistant Hours: Full time 1.0 WTF Starting date: December 2021 The International School Eindhoven has a temporary job opening for a Teaching Assistant in the Primary International Department to work in our educational needs department to support students with specific educational needs . The specific duties of the educational needs teaching assistant are: • work with groups of students and individual students, in accordance with the approved curriculum using appropriate methods and suitable resources (including information technology) as directed or agreed with the teacher; • supervise students in the acquisition of skills; • supervise students during lessons, breaks, games; • assist with the collaboration of students, group work and working in learning areas; • oversee independent learning activities; • support students with learning activities outside of the classroom; • report (periodically) on the observed behaviour of the students to the teacher; • Identifies learning needs and discusses these with the teacher; • Support teachers to evaluate student’s performance and results and to suggest solutions for their learning needs; • assist in the educational and social development of students; • support students with their learning needs; • conduct assessments, observations and various administrative tasks; • prepare the teaching environment and clear away after the lesson; • create and prepare learning materials.
