Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
As an Instructional Designer at OysterConnect, you will be responsible for Designing and Developing world-class content for our Masterclasses in collaboration with a team of Graphic Designers and Industry Advisors.
I. Create In-House Masterclasses in collaboration with with Graphic Designers and Industry Advisors:

- Conduct in-depth Research on Course Topics to develop Course Content & Instructional materials – Including conducting interviews with our Industry Advisors, and Secondary research on related topics & areas, the Industry, the Role, the Target Group, their expected career outcomes, etc.
- Plan & Produce the Course Design as per Learner requirements and latest Learning Design Methodologies – Structure & Flow, Storyboard, Outlines, Curriculum, Assessments, Case Studies, Worksheets, Presentation Slides, Intros & Outros, Whiteboard & Animated Explainer Videos, Images/graphics/ Illustrations, Infographics, Motion Graphics, etc.
- Coordinate & Collaborate with in-house Graphic Designers to develop all the visual content – Illustrations, Animations, Videos, Motion Graphics, etc.
- Ensure uniformity, brand connect and adherence to core product principles across all the content produced.
- Ensure timely delivery & publishing of Masterclasses as per pre-determined schedules & deadlines.
- Find new ways to produce content that scales and resonates with our increasingly global audience.
- Keep an eye on Learner Requirements (via Feedback & Surveys), Employment Trends and Industry Trends to determine cutting-edge course topics & content.
- Review learner success metrics and assess course quality through learner ratings, reviews, and behaviour to continuously improve upon course content, design and delivery.
II. Manage & Moderate Course Content from Full-time Mentors:

- Use a consultative approach to guide the mentors to deliver the courses without compromising on the quality of the work – including providing brief training programs on content development as well as providing feedback on the quality of what they are developing.
- Moderate & Edit Masterclass Content uploaded by Industry Mentors to ensure that their courses meet company standards & video hygiene.
- Act as a thought partner to help Industry Mentors to bring their content and expertise to life.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong Knowledge & understanding of instructional design principles, learning approaches, online learning, and adult pedagogy principles and techniques. Formal training and/or an advanced degree in instructional design, learning science, or related disciplines would be a Plus.
- Prior professional experience in Curriculum Development/ Project based Learning/ Assessment Development/ Training Need Analysis/ Training Effectiveness Measurement.
- Experience developing content for an online environment
- Experience of having handled a Learning Management System (LMS)
- Strong English language skills including grammar principles, phrasing, and punctuation.
- Ability to create design documents, presentations, assessments, infographics, etc.
- Ability to create storyboards for static, video, animation, and interactive output.
- Ability to work with rapid authoring tools such as Storyline 360 and Captivate.
- Ability to perform comprehensive reviews of learning solution output such as videos, animations, courses, and interactives.
- Ability to discuss learning needs with stakeholders, analyze needs, research independently and come up with the right learning intervention
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to collaborate & coordinate with internal & cross-departmental teams to achieve desired outcomes.
