Job Description
Job Title:
The Lead, Programs and Partnership develops and coordinates the implementation of the strategy for a top rated U.S. university’s outreach and recruitment in India, providing subject matter expertise to the University’s various stakeholders. The Lead also develops and implements a portfolio of activities for the U.S. university to help build their footprint, visibility and partnerships in India with various stakeholders including Indian higher education institutions, government, industry, alumni and other potential collaborators.
Essential Functions:
- Interacts with institutions of higher education, scholarly associations and, as needed, other external constituencies, including vendors, consultants, and contractors, to professionally represent IIE and the U.S. university. Develops and maintains key relationships with partners.
- Serves as direct point of contact for potential applicants interested in a variety of programs at the U.S. university.
- Supports the U.S. university on outreach and recruitment strategy implementation within India. Oversees the coordination and implementation of outreach and recruitment activities, including the development and dissemination of appropriately branded outreach materials, accurate recordkeeping and metrics, and reporting.
- Serves as a subject matter expert on educational systems within India. Advises on country-specific recruitment and admissions-related considerations.
- Recommends and facilitates the U.S. university’s faculty and administrator participation at local higher education-related events.
- Prepares and submits regular program reports to the U.S. university.
- Represents the U.S. university in designing and introducing new initiatives and leads on special projects.
- Leads engagement event(s) for the U.S. university’s alumni in India.
- Collaborates with the U.S. university to increase experiential learning opportunities for their students in India. Provides on-site support for study abroad programs, including hosting pre-departure/arrival orientation for faculty-led programs and conducting site visits to potential host universities.

Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Strong understanding of secondary and higher educational systems within India and the United States.
· Significant experience in an outreach and recruitment role. Must exhibit maturity and be comfortable in a client-centered team and demonstrated ability to use diplomacy in difficult situations.
· Ability to prioritize under time constraints and pressures.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking and presentation skills.
· Superior writing and editing skills and a thorough knowledge of the English language. Abilities in a language relevant to India strongly preferred.
· Creativity and ability to suggest innovative yet practical solutions to new challenges.
· Able to work as a team player- contributes to the team as well as handles tasks assigned by more than one supervisor.
· Knowledge of customer relationship management and database software.
· Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook and applicable outreach and recruitment mediums.
Work Conditions & Physical Demands:
Essential functions are performed in a general office setting with low noise.
