Indira Priyadarshini School, J. P. Nagar 3rd Phase, is seeking English Teachers for its Primary and Middle School.

The right candidate will be proactive, take pride in creating independent learners, and have a growth mindset.

She must have a love for teaching and literature, and a proven track-record of implementing reading/literacy programs in CBSE/ICSE schools.

Following skills and traits are REQUIRED:

• FEMALE candidates ONLY.
• Energetic, self-driven, highly motivated individuals with high level of integrity and commitment, who are passionate about teaching, and have demonstrated expertise in teaching English at the Primary, Middle and/or Secondary levels.
• Well-versed in using software applications (MS Office Suite/Google Docs), online teaching apps (Microsoft Teams/Google Meet ), web technologies, smart-apps/smart-boards for teaching.
• Well-versed with online/offline/blended teaching.
• Be willing to innovate and incorporate 21st Century technologies and learning outcomes in their teaching.

• Prior experience in implementing reading and writing workshops is an advantage.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) in English/Arts from a reputed university is required.

• 3 (minimum) to 15 years of experience teaching English to Primary/Middle/Secondary grades in reputed institutions.

Responsibilities:

In addition to class/subject responsibilities for Primary and Middle School (1st to 8th standard), the selected candidate will be responsible for incorporating reading and writing workshops into our ELA curriculum, and for building a culture of reading across all grades.

She will also be responsible for implementing various literacy-focused activities such as book clubs, theater, debate and creative writing.

Additional Responsibilities include:

• Diligently attending our curriculum workshops and preparing lesson plans, teaching aids and assessment activities as required by our curriculum and pedagogy.
• Contributing to improvements in our curriculum and lesson plans.
• Supporting the organization in events, co- and extracurricular activities as required.
