Indira Priyadarshini School, J. P. Nagar 3rd Phase, is seeking English Teachers (Senior and Junior) for its Primary (1st to 5th) and Middle (6thto 8th) School.

The right candidate will have a passion for English and for teaching, and sees teaching as a long-term career.

• Energetic, self-driven, highly motivated individuals with high level of integrity and commitment.
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching English at the Primary, Middle and/or Secondary levels.
• Well-versed in using software applications (MS Office Suite/Google Docs/Teams/Google Meet) and smart-boards.

• For the Senior Teacher position, a love for reading and literature is essential.
• Prior experience in implementing reading and writing workshops is an advantage.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) in English/Arts from a reputed university is required.
• 3 (minimum) to 15 years of experience teaching English to Primary/Middle/Secondary grades in reputed institutions.

Responsibilities:

In addition to class/subject/teaching responsibilities for Primary and Middle School (1st to 8th standard), the selected candidate will be responsible for incorporating reading and writing workshops into our English Language curriculum, and for building a culture of reading across all grades.

She will also be responsible for implementing various literacy-focused activities such as book clubs, theater, debate and creative writing.

Additional Responsibilities include:

• Diligently attending our curriculum workshops and preparing lesson plans.
• Contributing to improvements in our curriculum and lesson plans.
