Indian School of Public Policy (ISPP) Hiring For Research Associate – Case Study Centre, ISPP at India Full Time

The Indian School of Public Policy is a higher education institute based in Hauz Khas, New Delhi, that offers four academic programs in public policy.

The Case Study Centre is the school’s newest initiative that aims to produce case studies that cover a wide range of issues in public policy, administration, and governance with a uniquely Indian focus. By converting the tensions and dilemmas faced by policymakers into teaching material, the centre provides learners with a rich repository of real-life policy problems they can analyze, solve, and learn from.

ISPP has recently partnered with the Capacity Building Commission, Government of India to develop case studies to further capacitate India’s civil servants. These case studies will be based on the innovations submitted to the Commission through the Innovations in Public Administration Challenge and will be used at various central and state training institutes around the country.

ISPP is looking to hire two part-time research associates to write and edit case studies between November 15, 2022, January 15, 2023. As this is a part-time role, the expected time/ commitment is 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structural and copy edits on the 15 case studies produced by ISPP scholars
• Conduct secondary research, as needed, and analyze data collected through primary research to substantiate the case studies
• Incorporate feedback from CBC officials and ISPP faculty members and restructure and edit case studies until a final draft is reached

 Required Qualifications

• Graduate in social sciences or humanities, preferably in public policy
• 2 years of work experience in writing, editing, and researching
• A knowledge of the structure and utility of case studies, especially in public policy education
• Excellent writing skills, including an ability to interpret and summarize information effectively and persuasively
