Job Outline
The Learning Research Consultant will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on learning methodologies, programme design, and educational technologies. The Consultant’s expertise will play a crucial role in providing valuable insights and recommendations to enhance Executive Education’s learning programs, learning collateral, and educational strategies. S/he will be responsible for producing researched-backed, measurable and impactful models, frameworks, and content. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and innovative thinker with a strong background in learning research and a passion for transforming executive education.
Job Specification
Knowledge / Education :
Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Learning Sciences, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
Specific Skills :
Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, survey design, interviews, experimental design, and data analysis techniques.
Familiarity with cognitive, behavioral, constructivist, and socio-cultural learning theories.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate existing learning programs, identify gaps, and propose evidence-based recommendations for improvement. Ability to think creatively and innovate solutions to enhance learning experiences.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present research findings, reports, and recommendations to various stakeholders.
Desirable Experience :
7 plus years of experience as a Learning Research Consultant or in a similar research-focused role.
Key Responsibilities
1 Conduct comprehensive research on learning theories, instructional design models, and emerging trends in educational technology.
2 Analyze existing learning programs, curriculum, and instructional materials to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
3 Develop research plans and methodologies, including surveys, interviews, and data analysis, to gather insights and evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives.
4 Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, trends, and correlations related to learning outcomes.
5 Interpret research findings and provide actionable recommendations to improve learning strategies, instructional materials, and training programs.
6 Stay abreast of advancements in learning research, cognitive psychology, and educational technologies
7 Contribute to the creation of guidelines, standards, and frameworks for designing and evaluating learning
8 Present research findings, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership, and provide guidance on implementing changes to improve learning outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Learning Sciences, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Learning Research Consultant or in a similar research-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of learning theories, instructional design principles, and educational technologies.
- Proficiency in research methodologies, data collection, and analysis techniques.
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to draw meaningful insights from complex data sets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present research findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate research-based recommendations to stakeholders.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and project management skills.
