Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Develop Training Curriculum: Create comprehensive sales training programs tailored to the needs of various sales roles within the organisation. This includes training content on product knowledge, sales techniques, objection handling, and customer relationship management.
  • Conduct Training Sessions: Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions to sales team members, both new hires and existing employees. Use a variety of training methods, such as presentations, role-plays, workshops, and simulations, to ensure maximum learning retention.
  • Sales Process Improvement: Collaborate with the sales management team to identify areas of improvement in the sales process. Incorporate these improvements into the training material to help the team achieve better results and meet sales targets.
  • Onboarding and Induction: Facilitate the onboarding process for new sales representatives, ensuring they quickly acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to become productive members of the team.
  • Sales Coaching and Mentorship: Provide ongoing coaching and support to sales representatives to reinforce training concepts and address individual performance issues. Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to identify areas for improvement and assist in the development of action plans.
  • Performance Assessment: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through various methods, such as quizzes, role-plays, and real-life scenarios. Use data and feedback to continuously enhance the training curriculum and approach.
  • Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of industry developments, market trends, and competitors to ensure the training material remains relevant and up-to-date.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the People function team and sales function to align training initiatives with organisational goals and objectives.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a sales trainer or sales manager in a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, customer psychology, and sales processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire sales team members to achieve targets.
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and training software is an advantage.
  • Analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate dynamic business needs.
