Senior Scientific Editor

You will be responsible for:

• Editing of promotional material content global pharmaceutical clients by checking the language, grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency of language (tense), and adherence to brand style/client guidelines for promotional materials
• Format documents based on journal/congress guidelines
• Ensure that the document adheres to specified style guides – AMA Manual of Style/brand style/Client Guidelines
• Consistently deliver a high-quality edit, exceeding client expectations every time
• Contribute to team initiatives like knowledge sharing exercises and documentation of resources

Team Management

• Review tasks completed by the team to ensure the document is 100% accurate
• Schedule one-on-one meetings and provide qualitative and quantitative performance feedback in a positive and encouraging manner
• Ensure that the team adheres to team/client-specified processes and company policies
• Set goals and perform appraisal reviews for the team members
• Identify training needs to upscale team members

Must have: A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in life science / English

About you:

• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in copy editing is mandatory
• A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in life science / English
• Excellent written and spoken English skills (TOEFL/IELTS score is preferred)
• A keen eye for detail
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
• Demonstrated ability to work with tight timelines and a collaborative environment
• Flexible to work in UK shift (1:00 PM – 10:30 PM)
