To create a world-class computer science curriculum for the k12 level, we seek a resourceful and skilled content developer having experience in teaching or creating content for the k12 level with international standards. The content developer should have a more profound and updated understanding of computer science, information and communication technology, artificial intelligence and associated areas for being successful in this role. The role will predominantly involve creating content to be published in different forms pertaining to courses, projects, and modules to be designed to teach and learn computer science and associated fields for K12 education. The incumbent will closely work with the Yardstick product development team to understand the computer science curriculum’s vision and create content meeting international standards. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: – Content creation, editing and review – Create manuscripts, storyboards, videos and other forms of content as per the set guidelines – Review the content and take ownership of the content production cycle. – Verify facts and claims written/cited in the content material prior to publication and correct them to avoid publishing errors – Ensure all content matter is free from plagiarism – Save the content in an organised fashion and maintain versions to avoid any loss of content – Maintain a healthy working relationship with peers – Course correct the operations/implementation pertaining to content development and editing to ensure timely completions, budgetary limitations, and efficient project processes. – Do final proofreading and ensure error-free publication. Other – Be open to feedback. – Be focused, organized and deadline-conscious. – Interact with co-workers to produce quality content. – Treat all colleagues with fairness and respect. Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities: – Master’s degree or PhD in IT/Computer Science or any related STEM field – More than ten years of experience in content editing, book editing or associated area – Excellent reading skills, writing skills and strong editing skills – Excellent communication skills – Organisational skills and an ability to be able to set priorities, plan timelines and meet deadlines – Ability to work independently and proactively, without support staff and with no supervision – Attention to detail and problem-solving attitude Personal Characteristics and Desired Qualities: – Ability to empathise with others and habit of working towards a solution – Openmindedness to the ideas, curiosity to pursue alternative perspectives and willingness to challenge one’s own belief in the light of evidence – Ability to rightly balance process and result orientation – Ability to be mindful about one’s actions and its multi-dimensional implications – The operating style suited to working in a startup environment, where flexibility in taking up extra responsibilities is valued – Ability to manage complex situations with calm and measured actions Location: No specific location, the incumbent can very well work from home. Compensation Remuneration will be competitive based on industry standards and will depend on the candidate’s experience level.
