POSITION PURPOSE

In this highly visible and hands-on role, the Project Manager will oversee the core technical team in delivering Application Development, Integration and Configuration.

The Key Responsibilities And Deliverables Of This Role Are

• Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
• To drive a culture of Customer first within the IDP technology team ensuring all staff consider the customer as the “centre of all their activities”
• Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
• Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
• Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
• Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
• Use and continually develop leadership skills
• Managing multiple cross-function delivery teams, with focus on technical excellence and high-performance culture.
• Keep pace with the introduction of relevant agile / lean tools and techniques, and remove obstacles and blockers that might get in the way of delivery.
• Ensure teams are appropriately skilled, trained and developed to enable them to deliver high quality services
• Act as a ‘change lead’ for Digital Acceleration initiatives and other projects, as and when required.
• Manage and develop strategic partnerships with third party suppliers and other internal stakeholders
• Take responsibility for customer escalations and act as a point of escalation both in and out of hours as required
• Drive a continual service improvement programme based on a desire to become a world class managed service provider for IDP.
• Contribute to operational, project and management level reporting
• Contribute to IDP projects from time to time as required

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Requirements (skills, Knowledge Experience & Qualification)

• 5 years’ experience in project management
• Familiarity with time management tools
• Experience with process improvement and inventory control
• PMP Certification
• Advanced time management and analytical skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Excellent client-facing communication skills
