Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this job is to plan and execute Global ESG training curriculum, create and maintain detailed reference manuals along with comprehensive examples, as well as manage training classes of various sizes.  The trainer is responsible for ensuring that training is consistently and effectively delivered to support the learning and development needs of ESG Data Operations employees.  The incumbent will be required to deliver numerous trainings, including but not limited to an “in person” two (2) to three (3) month training program depending on the training program subject matter to all new hires and/or seasoned individuals in Hyderabad and Dublin and will be responsible for all managerial functions for all trainees.   The incumbent will also be responsible for delivering ongoing training to facilitate knowledge transfer.  The trainer will work across multiple teams and applications to identify knowledge gaps and plan cross-training sessions to build subject matter expertise.

In a classroom setting and in a comprehensive library of reference manuals, the trainer must be able to define complex financial and ESG concepts, and link said concepts to specific verbiage in documentation such as prospectuses, indentures, market announcements, corporate actions and offering memorandums. The trainer will be required to illustrate “add”, “update” and “delete” flows for various data sets, across different security types in several user applications. The trainer will facilitate multiple weeks of practical application, where trainees update deals in a training environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct training classes of 1-2 content sets for new employees and existing employees for less complex structures in the ESG space. Manage training classes for as many as 25 people while fostering the ICE culture of open communication and collaboration.
  • Evaluate trainee skills, talents, performance and productivity by administering quizzes and tests, reviewing practical work and assessing the quality and quantity of questions asked. Identify areas needing improvement and prepare and provide written evaluations to the employee and the employee’s permanent manager. Implement corrective actions.
  • Mentor, coach and motivate trainees.
  • Measure trainee performance against pre-established timeliness and accuracy benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with other trainers to ensure that all trainees have a similar experience and obtain the same level of knowledge and skill.
  • Share performance reviews and performance metrics with the incoming management team as trainees transition back to the operation team.
  • Escalate behavioral and performance issues. Make probation assessments for trainees not meeting productivity, accuracy or timeliness criteria in the training classroom. Plan, organize, facilitate and execute training for new hires as well as existing employees while coordinating with all stakeholders minimalize impact on the day to day operations
  • Manage training classes ranging between 10 and 100 people while fostering the ICE culture of open communication and collaboration
  • Perform market research for new content and author new detailed training documentation including definitions, sources, examples, policies and procedures
  • Provide near real time feedback and corrections.  Evaluate performance, identify performance issues, understand underlying cause as well as provide and execute on corrective actions
  • Measure performance against pre-established timeliness and accuracy benchmarks
  • Create and report training status by publishing performance metrics to the management team
  • Escalate behavioral and performance issues. Recommend termination for trainees not meeting productivity, accuracy or timeliness criteria in the training classroom
  • Establish standards for excellence and lead trainees to reach their full potential
  • Coordinate and collaborate with various product teams to resolve and reconcile policy related inconsistencies
  • Oversee and maintain an elaborate library of existing documentation by both adding well-organized, and concise content to current manuals as well as eliminating duplicative content
  • Amend and update training curriculum and training documents as new policies are established and/or old policies change
  • Create and grow a standardized library of practical examples to achieve efficiencies and standardization in training
  • Oversee proper roll out, understanding and implementation of any new or revised policies and procedures
  • Work across operations managers, data quality, product and business analyst teams to identify and resolve policy differences as well as knowledge and workflow gaps
  • Act as a subject matter expert in content and market.  This includes, but is not limited to various data sets, relevant data sources, data usage by clients as well as availability of said data on various ICE products   
  • Create an inspiring environment by promoting teamwork and motivating staff
  • Coash staff and adopt to various learning styles to achieve best training results
  • Set and communicate clear training goals and deadlines

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required
  • Experience with ESG content
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressured, fluid environment
  • Ability to distill large amounts of information into specific takeaways
  • Excellent attention to detail and high degree of demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills communication, organization and time management skills
  • Eagerness to learn and collaborate with others
  • Strong Word, Excel, Power Point is required
