Exp Tech Writer JOB POSTING Implement customer documentation for hardware and software products. Work closely with product development teams to research and understand technical information about the product to write customer documentation for the appropriate audience. Coordinate documentation plans and document outlines defining audience, determining task list, identifying technical information requirements.
Work with outside translation providers to coordinate translated documents. Discover and drive innovative Tech Communication initiatives, which may include assessing strategies for intelligent content and content management. Develop mechanisms for monitoring delivery of documents to ensure they are on time and are of good quality.
Key Responsibilities Write easy-to-understand user documentation on topics such as Installation, Configuration, Administration, Troubleshooting, Software Change Notices Be well versed with common developer tools such as Confluence, Bitbucket, CMS tools and so on
Be fluent in developer terminology and developer friendly language
Produce high-quality documentation in a standard and consistent manner
Develop tutorials and documentation that can support different user personas
Support design & layout working with product & UX teams
Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product requirements
Analyze existing and potential content, and identify necessary updatesJOB ACTIVITIES YOU MUST HAVE 3+ years’ of technical writing experience for a software company.2+ years’ experience developing online technical and hardware documentation.High level of ownership and a ‘Get it Done’ attitude
Proven working experience in developing procedural software documentation.Should have previous experience managing a developer documentation hub and working with live documentation
Careful attention to detail, strong organization, and editing/proofreading skills.Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text, pictures and flow diagrams
Gather information through product specification docs, interviews and product demos, and product exploration. Must be assertive in asking questions, and generally be resourceful in finding answers.Excellent communication skills in English, (written, and verbal)WE VALUE Experience working in an Agile environment
Experience working with Adobe Frame Maker, Madcap Flare, Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator and more
Familiarity with topic-based authoring, structured content, DITA publishing
Excellent team and communication skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Demonstrated excellence in writing clearly and concisely
Extensive experience creating documentation.Ability to motivate and teach project team to write great technical documentation
Ability to quickly grasp and communicate technical concepts
Detail oriented and well organized
Knowledge of databases, HTML, and XML
