• Work closely with the Infant,Toddler and Preschool Teachers to oversee all aspects of classroomprogram planning, implementation, and evaluation within theguidelines of the center s appropriatepractices.
• Provide expert advice in preschoolprogramming and interact with parents during PTC and on needbasis
• Regularly attend trainings/workshops andread journals to keep abreast on current developments in area ofexpertise.
• Provide ongoing mentoring andcoaching to teaching staff through spending time in classrooms tointroduce and support new ideas, strategies,etc.
• Work with teachers in moving along thecontinuum of implementing the Curriculum.
• Workwith preschool classroom staff on understanding and implementingdocumentation as part of their curricularwork.
• Work with preschool classroom staff onlearning about and implementing increased technology forcommunication.
• Work with classroom staff tohave an understanding of progressive early childhood education andto continually learn and grow.
• Interviewingprospective candidates for respective positions through InternalJob Posting.
• Conducting performance reviews andperformance review conversations of all preschool classroomteachers during the time ofappraisal.
• Supervise use of physical space sothat classrooms, common areas and playgrounds are clean andsafe.
• Provide an attractive and welcomingenvironment in which learning is made visible through children sart work or displays that promote a child sself-esteem.
• Provide oversight to assure thatthese experiences are positive ones.
• Guidesteachers for creation of assessment, report cards, diary writing,port folios etc.,
• Observe and guide teachers ona daily basis.
• Actively participate inregularly scheduled administrative team meetings to address Healthand safety, facilities, operations, human resources or otherconcerns.
• Keep staff apprised of professionaldevelopment opportunities.
• Assess grouptraining needs for the centreteachers.
