Job Title: Head of Cambridge Programme
Location: Kunskapsskolan International School, Sector 70A, Gurgaon
Reports To: School Director
Job Overview:
The Head of Cambridge Programme will lead and manage the implementation and development of the Cambridge curriculum across all relevant grade levels within the school. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the Cambridge system, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive academic excellence through effective programme management.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Leadership and Management:
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Cambridge curriculum across K-12.
- Ensure that the Cambridge programme is delivered in accordance with Cambridge International guidelines and standards.
- Lead the development of curriculum frameworks, resources, and assessment methods aligned with Cambridge requirements.
Staff Development and Support:
- Provide professional development and training for teachers on Cambridge methodologies, assessment practices, and curriculum updates.
- Foster a collaborative environment where staff can share best practices and strategies for delivering the Cambridge curriculum effectively.
Student Achievement and Assessment:
- Monitor and analyze student performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance student outcomes.
- Ensure that assessments and examinations are conducted in line with Cambridge protocols, including managing examination schedules, preparation, and administration.
Curriculum Development and Review:
- Collaborate with teaching staff to review and update the Cambridge curriculum to ensure it meets the evolving educational standards and the needs of students.
- Develop and implement strategies to integrate Cambridge programmes with other curricula where applicable.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and the broader school community regarding the Cambridge programme, including its objectives, expectations, and student progress.
- Serve as the primary contact for Cambridge International, handling correspondence and ensuring compliance with all Cambridge requirements.
Strategic Planning and Improvement:
- Contribute to the school’s strategic planning by providing insights and recommendations related to the Cambridge programme.
- Implement and monitor action plans for continuous improvement based on feedback and performance metrics.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage the Cambridge programme budget and resources efficiently.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to the Cambridge programme for school leadership and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
- At least 6-7 years of experience in teaching the Cambridge curriculum.
- At least 5 years of experience in Leadership in Cambridge curriculum.
- Proven track record of successful management and leadership in an educational environment.
- Strong understanding of Cambridge International curriculum and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
