Position Summary:
The Dean of Academics (reporting to Principal) plays a pivotal role in the academic leadership
of the school. This position is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the educational
programs, curriculum development, and instructional quality to ensure the academic excellence
of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Alignment as per NEP & NCF:
– Get school& curriculum to align with national and international educational standards.
– Collaborate with subject coordinators and teachers to create engaging and challenging
academic programs.
– Ensure the integration of 21st-century skills and technology into the curriculum.
2. Instructional Leadership:
– Provide guidance and support to teachers in the development of effective teaching
strategies.
– Promote professional development opportunities for faculty.
– Monitor classroom instruction and evaluate teaching methods to improve student learning
outcomes.
3. Assessment and Evaluation:
– Implement a comprehensive assessment and evaluation system to measure student
progress and achievement.
– Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to address them.
4. Academic Planning and Scheduling:
– Plan and manage the academic calendar, including class schedules, exams, and events.
– Ensure the allocation of resources for academic activities and projects.
5. Student Support and Enrichment:
– Oversee academic counseling and support services to meet the individual needs of students.
– Promote and coordinate extracurricular activities, clubs, and enrichment programs.
6. Professional Development:
– Facilitate ongoing professional development opportunities for faculty to stay updated on
best practices and educational trends.
7. Parent and Community Engagement:
– Collaborate with parents and the community to foster a positive learning environment.
– Organize meetings, workshops, and forums to keep parents informed and engaged in their
child’s education.
8. Compliance and Accreditation:
– Ensure that the school complies with all relevant educational regulations and standards.
– Work towards achieving and maintaining educational accreditation.
Qualifications:
– Master or Doctorate degree in Education or a related field.
– Teaching experience in K-12 education.
– Leadership experience in an educational institution.
– Strong understanding of curriculum development, assessment, and educational technology.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Knowledge of educational regulations and accreditation processes in India.
