Job Description – Senior Student Counsellor

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Student Counsellor for our study abroad division, to advise and guide students about their careers, different overseas study programs, and scholarships and help them to get admission to universities abroad. Their primary responsibilities are counseling students regarding abroad education opportunities, selecting the best study programs, countries, courses, and universities, getting admissions and offer letters, training them in attending interviews, preparing SOPs and educating them about overseas education, and ensuring a smooth transition for the students.

Responsibilities

• Required proficiency in international study destinations: UK and Canada. All other countries’ knowledge is preferred.
• Well-versed in end-to-end processes from Cold calling to Student applications.
• Provide a fair and neutral evaluation of a candidate’s profile.
• Provide a personal global career strategy customized to their needs.
• Achieve excellent customer service by proactively responding to student queries and advising them on various overseas education programs
• Help students in filling up their admission form, preparing the financial documents and in applying for a visa.
• Maintain a proper database of students counselled, and applications sent to abroad.
• Provide detailed information regarding the visa process and help them prepare for the Visa interview as well.
• Convey all the information regarding education loans and provide advice for getting loans and financial aid.
• Help students prepare an excellent and honest appealing SOP
• Give clear and accurate information based on the current immigration, visa laws & policies.
• Knowledge of managing the Overseas Study center is an added advantage

Requirement

• 3-4 years of relevant Study Abroad industry experience is required.
• Should have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and others from diverse social backgrounds.
• Should have excellent interpersonal skills, presentation skills, and convincing skills
• Able to work target based
• Up-to-date on different country programs, policies, course information and visa and travel updates
