IB MYP Coordinator

1. The MYP Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and coordination of the IB MYP within the school. This includes implementing and maintaining the programme’s policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with IB standards and practices, and overseeing the curriculum development and implementation.
2. The coordinator works closely with teachers to develop and review the MYP curriculum. They collaborate with subject area teachers to ensure alignment with IB standards, facilitate interdisciplinary connections, and support the development of units of inquiry.
3. Teacher Support and Professional Development: The MYP Coordinator provides guidance, support, and resources to teachers to enhance their understanding and implementation of the MYP curriculum. They may organize professional development workshops, facilitate collaborative planning sessions, and provide feedback on lesson plans and assessments.
4. IB Authorization and Evaluation: The MYP Coordinator plays a key role in the school’s authorization process and subsequent evaluation visits by the IB organization. They prepare and submit required documentation, coordinate school visits, and ensure that the school meets the IB standards and requirements for MYP implementation.

IB MYP Design Teacher

1. The Design Teacher is responsible for delivering the IB MYP Design curriculum to students. This includes planning and implementing engaging lessons that align with IB standards and objectives. They design and facilitate learning experiences that develop students’ design thinking skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
2. The Design Teacher collaborates with other teachers to plan and develop units of inquiry that integrate design concepts and skills with other subject areas. They identify relevant and authentic contexts for design projects and develop a scope and sequence for the MYP Design curriculum.
3. The Design Teacher collaborates with other teachers within the MYP programme and across subject areas to develop interdisciplinary connections and promote a holistic learning experience for students. They actively engage in professional development opportunities to enhance their knowledge of design concepts, pedagogy, and IB requirements. They may also participate in curriculum development committees and share best practices with colleagues.
4. The Design Teacher ensures compliance with IB programme requirements and standards. They align their teaching practices with the IB MYP design objectives, approaches to learning (ATL) skills, and assessment criteria. They actively participate in the school’s IB authorization process, contribute to curriculum review and development, and prepare students for IB assessments and projects.

IB MYP Physics Teacher

1. The Physics Teacher is responsible for delivering the IB MYP Physics curriculum to students. They plan and implement engaging lessons that align with IB standards and objectives. They design and facilitate learning experiences that develop students’ understanding of physics concepts, scientific inquiry skills, and critical thinking abilities.
2. The Physics Teacher collaborates with other teachers to plan and develop units of inquiry that integrate physics principles with other subject areas. They identify relevant and authentic contexts for physics exploration and develop a scope and sequence for the MYP Physics curriculum.
3. The Physics Teacher facilitates hands-on laboratory experiments and practical activities to enhance students’ understanding of physics concepts and principles. They ensure proper handling and use of equipment, safety procedures, and ethical considerations in scientific investigations. They guide students in collecting and analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and communicating scientific findings.
4. IB Programme Requirements: The Physics Teacher ensures compliance with IB programme requirements and standards. They align their teaching practices with the IB MYP physics objectives, approaches to learning (ATL) skills, and assessment criteria. They actively participate in the school’s IB authorization process, contribute to curriculum review and development, and prepare students for IB assessments and projects.
