Job Title: Assistant Professor in Pharmacology

Qualification and Experience: M.Pharm in Pharmacology with 5 to 6 years teaching experience in a reputed Pharmacy College. Candidate should have registered for PhD.

Industry experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

Teaching: The primary responsibility of a Lecturer in Pharmacology is to deliver lectures and conduct classes on various aspects of pharmacology to undergraduate or postgraduate pharmacy students. This includes preparing lesson plans, designing course materials, delivering lectures, facilitating discussions, and conducting laboratory sessions related to pharmacology.

Curriculum Development: Lecturers in Pharmacology contribute to the development and review of the pharmacy curriculum, particularly in the area of pharmacology. They may be involved in designing and updating course syllabi, selecting appropriate textbooks and reference materials, and aligning the curriculum with the latest developments in the field.

Student Assessment: Lecturers assess and evaluate students’ understanding of pharmacology through assignments, quizzes, exams, and practical assessments. They provide timely feedback to students, help them address any difficulties, and guide their learning progress.

Research and Scholarly Activities: Lecturers in Pharmacology are expected to engage in research activities related to pharmacology or pharmaceutical sciences. This involves conducting experiments, analyzing data, publishing research findings in scientific journals, and presenting research at conferences or seminars. They may also seek funding through grants to support their research projects.

Academic Advising: Lecturers provide academic guidance and support to pharmacy students. They assist in course selection, provide career advice, and offer guidance on research projects or dissertations. They may also mentor students and supervise their research work.

Professional Development: Staying updated with the latest advancements in pharmacology and pharmacy practice is crucial. Lecturers are expected to engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, conferences, and seminars. They may also pursue higher degrees or certifications to enhance their knowledge and expertise.

Collaboration and Networking: Lecturers in Pharmacology collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines. They may work on interdisciplinary research projects, contribute to joint publications, or participate in departmental meetings and committees.

Administration and Service: Lecturers fulfill administrative responsibilities such as attending faculty meetings, participating in committees, and contributing to the overall management and development of the pharmacy department. They may also engage in community outreach activities, providing expertise and consultation to external organizations or healthcare professionals.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹35,000.00 – ₹40,000.00 per month
