Job description
Job Title: Lecturer in Pharmacy
Qualification and Experience: B. Pharm with teaching experience of 1 to 3 years in a reputed Pharmacy College. Pharma D candidates not considered.
Industry experience will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
Teaching:
- Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, and practical sessions on pharmacy-related subjects to Diploma in Pharmacy students.
- Develop course materials, such as syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students, including advising on academic and career-related matters.
- Facilitate discussions, lead group activities, and promote interactive learning experiences.
- Conduct laboratory sessions to demonstrate pharmaceutical techniques and experiments.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, exams, and projects.
- Provide feedback to students to help them improve their understanding and performance.
Curriculum Development:
- Participate in the design and development of pharmacy curricula, keeping abreast of advancements and emerging trends in the field.
- Update course content to reflect current knowledge, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in pharmacy practice.
- Identify and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies and tools to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
Research:
- Conduct research in your area of expertise within pharmacy, contributing to the existing body of knowledge.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present them at conferences.
- Seek research funding through grants and proposals to support your research projects.
- Supervise and mentor students in their research projects, including undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.
Professional Development:
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice, including new drugs, therapies, regulations, and ethical considerations.
- Engage in continuing education activities, such as attending workshops, conferences, and seminars.
- Maintain professional memberships and affiliations with relevant pharmacy organizations.
- Network with colleagues and professionals in the field to foster collaborations and stay connected with the pharmacy community.
Administrative Duties:
- Serve on departmental or university committees, contributing to decision-making processes and academic governance.
- Participate in the development of academic policies, guidelines, and quality assurance procedures.
- Assist in the recruitment and admission of students to the pharmacy program.
- Provide input in the accreditation process for pharmacy programs.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of partnerships with external stakeholders, such as healthcare institutions and industry partners.
Community Engagement:
- Act as a liaison between the academic institution and the pharmacy profession.
- Engage in outreach activities, such as public lectures, workshops, or health promotion campaigns, to raise awareness about pharmacy-related topics.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and organizations to promote interprofessional education and practice.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: ₹18,000.00 – ₹20,000.00 per month
