Job Title: Assistant Professor in Community Health Nursing

Qualification and Experience: MSc (Nursing) in Community Health with minimum teaching experience of more than 5 years in a reputed Nursing College.

Responsibilities: As an Assistant Professor in Community Health Nursing with a minimum of 5 years of experience, the roles and responsibilities may include:

Teaching and Curriculum Development:

Conducting lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in community health nursing.
Developing and updating curriculum materials, lesson plans, and teaching resources.
Assessing student performance through assignments, examinations, and practical evaluations.
Providing guidance and mentoring to students in their academic and professional development.

Research and Scholarly Activities:

Engaging in research activities related to community health nursing, such as conducting studies, collecting data, and analyzing results.
Collaborating with colleagues and students on research projects.
Publishing research findings in academic journals and presenting at conferences.
Seeking grant funding for research projects related to community health nursing.

Community Engagement and Service:

Collaborating with local communities and organizations to identify community health needs and develop interventions.
Participating in community health programs and initiatives to promote health and prevent disease.
Providing consultation and expertise to community health agencies and organizations.
Serving on committees or boards related to community health and nursing practice.

Clinical Practice and Supervision:

Providing clinical supervision and guidance to students in community health nursing practicum settings.
Collaborating with clinical agencies to ensure students receive appropriate clinical experiences.
Monitoring and evaluating students’ clinical performance and providing constructive feedback.
Maintaining personal clinical competency through continued professional development.

Administrative Duties:

Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Assisting in the recruitment and selection of students for the community health nursing program.
Participating in accreditation processes and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Engaging in professional development activities to stay updated with advances in community health nursing.

Collaboration and Professional Networking:

Collaborating with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to enhance teaching and research.
Networking with professionals in the field of community health nursing and participating in professional organizations.
Mentoring and advising students on career development and educational opportunities.
Building relationships with community partners and stakeholders to foster collaboration and promote community health.

Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

Salary: ₹30,000.00 – ₹35,000.00 per month

  • Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
