Harrow International School, Bengaluru is delighted to welcome applications for the post of teacher for Music in our secondary school, which will open in August 2023. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced teacher to play a vital role in developing and launching the music department in an outstandingly resourced new school. The music department’s facilities include a music recording studio, a music tech. lab, dedicated music classrooms, multiple music practice rooms, an ensemble performance hall and an 1,800 sq m, 800 seat performance auditorium.

The post comes with a generous package, which includes rent free accommodation in a two or three bedroom home, health cover provided free of charge, flight and relocation allowances, and free education for appropriately aged children at Harrow Bengaluru (subject to meeting the school’s entry requirements).

You will be expected to hold excellent subject knowledge and to demonstrate first-rate classroom practice, having taught in a high achieving environment for a minimum of 3 years. A highly collaborative nature and strong communication skills will be essential, allowing the development of supportive relationships with staff, students, and parents, as well as a strong departmental team. An enthusiasm to contribute to the extra-curricular and boarding life of the school will also be expected.

A co-educational boarding and day school, Harrow Bengaluru will have capacity for 1760 students aged 2 to 18, including 960 boarders aged 11 to 18.
