Organization: The Organisation, is a European style patisserie (premium cake selling company) created by an IIM professor to disrupt the cake and coffee market, established to spread bonafide taste of the streets of Manhattan across the world. Brought into the world from a love for baking, the desire to create a meeting place that serves delicious food with a warm rustic environment. The Organization offers a full scope of Breads, morning merchandise, cakes, baked and savoury goods. Currently the team size is of about 200 people with more than 15 outlets across Hyderabad, along with a plan of opening 100 new outlets across Goa, Vijayawada, Bangalore, Chennai scaling up to 1000 people over the next year.
Designation: Food & Beverage Inventory Controller
Experience: Overall 5+ yrs in Food and Beverage Industry with 3+ years of relevant experience in monitoring cost and quality of food and beverage deliveries.
Office Location: Nanakramguda (Hyderabad)
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in food and beverage management or a closely-related field.

Responsibilities:
1. Manage Deliveries and Usage – Responsible for overseeing deliveries of items by suppliers. Regularly check orders to ensure that they are getting what they have requested and that the company is being charged properly. Performing inventory audits to make sure that food is not being wasted and that they have enough products to meet needs of menus. Check and verify all Package meals.
2. Prepare Analysis and Reports – Present analyses and reports regarding inventory to management but using office software to track the amount of foods and beverages ordered and amounts used, as well as cost, and show management where money can be saved.
3. Supervise Inventory Employees – Responsible for overseeing the performances of bay receiving employees who unload deliveries and verify accuracy of orders. Administering safety training for lifting, using machinery and other relevant activities to ensure that employees are adhering to internal and external policies and regulations regarding food handling. Responsible for surprise spot checks at all F&B outlets.
4. Use Software to Manage Inventory – should be able to use an interface that allows to look up inventory numbers remotely and even request that items are transported from one location to another to track deliveries and packing receipts.
Required:
1. Must possess strong problem-solving skills & excellent negotiation skills to negotiate the best prices and deals with vendors.
2. Organizing skills to arrange and maintain records of available stocks effectively.
3. Ability to strike balance between meeting customers’ needs and ensuring their employers remain profitable
4. Compiling food and beverage department’s financial records and forward them to financial controllers for auditing.
5. Market research skills to identify suppliers with the best prices.
6.Ability to effectively control the Food Beverage Cost and prepare variance analysis for food beverage and communicating with relevant parties.
7. Update and maintain receipts into the systems (FMC).
8. Check and verify voids, verify discounts, complimentary sales, happy hour discounts and settlements on the POS systems.
9. Check the menu pricing on the POS systems and ensure the correct prices are loaded. Tally all end of shift reports generated from all POS tills. Update selling prices in POS as per the instruction from authorised persons.
10. Prepare daily staff meal cost report and verify all staff meals and staff discounts.
11. Cross verifies if all sales have been transferred correctly to the Property Management systems (PMS) and prepare the daily and monthly cost report department in relation to cost of sales (Check and verify for any lost postings).
12. Check the daily Food Beverage revenues report submitted by the income audit for the accuracy of covers and average check.
13. Participate in stock taking at the restaurants and make spot check on the receiving department to ensure that the scales are correct and goods are checked for quality.
14. Ensure that no material is issued out from the store without requisition or approval from the respective department head.
15. Coordinate with different outlets and finance departments to sort out issues pertaining to FB.
16. Any other tasks as and when required by the management.
