Position: Counsellor

QUALIFICATION:

The Counselor must have a Master’s Degree in Psychology/ Social Work and Minimum 3+ Years of work experience in an Institution or Counseling Centres.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

· Provide individual, conjoint, and group counseling to students, employees.

· Provide single appointment sessions to students during the tenure of the course and to employees directly or over the phone as scheduled.

· Provide crisis intervention and crisis counseling for students/employees whenever needed.

· Provide consultation concerning students and student problems to faculty, staff and other professionals.

· Administer and interpret appropriate evaluation instruments.

· Maintain accurate client (students/employees) records within legal and ethical guidelines of the profession.

· Develop and present outreach programs and services to address and respond to the needs of the institute.

· Provide consultation for Institute faculty, staff, and administration regarding Institute policies, procedures, and services as appropriate.

· Work cooperatively with fellow professionals to develop and implement other Institutional services.

· Be knowledgeable of and support Institution policies and procedures.

· Be aware of and support Student Affairs goals and objectives.

· Consult with Director and other staffs regarding all major decisions which affect the Institution.

· Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies for marketing the Institute services.

· Assist HR in the selection process.
