Job Title – Associate Director / Director – Academic Affairs

Job Description – Selected candidates will be expected to / shall be capable of undertaking the following essential tasks / responsibilities as part of their job / role: –

1. Function as the nodal officer for all academic admin activities of the institute encompassing support functions, examinations and records.

2. Lead a team of members from both administrative functions as well as junior faculty to ensure smooth conduct of all academic activities.

3. As Convener, plan, prepare and conduct the annual convocation for the passing out batch graduates.

4. Possess good knowledge on the Learning Management Platforms and their effective utilization for conduct of off line and online sessions / schedules.

5. Capable of functioning as Controller of Exams – ability to manage all functions of scheduling, conduct and administration of all examinations, both off and online mode.

6. Possess good knowledge / expertise on digital exam platforms and their capabilities for smooth conduct of online exams under varied formats.

7. Possess good grasp and expertise over statutory rules / government policies for academic institutions and ensure adherence to the standard operating procedures.

8. Capable of maintaining academic records and associated functions / documents including background verification checks and credential verification process etc.

9. Maintain student records, support onboarding process for new batches and support student service requests and requirements.

10. Possess adequate knowledge on Accreditation process, data requirements for ranking surveys, academic data repository procedures etc.

11. Ensure feedback system for evaluation of teaching learning effectiveness including support to AOL procedures.

12. Possess adequate knowledge on online solutions for academic evolutions to ensure smooth conduct of academic activities in offline, online as well as Hybrid modes.

13. Possess good knowledge on the disciplinary action procedures for academic misconduct and incident reports.

14. Ability to manage / motivate subordinates to perform and possess good leadership skills to sustain efficiency at work.

15. Have good personal management skills and ability to coordinate with cross functional domains – departments for smooth conduct of all academic evolutions.

16. Possess good knowledge on performance appraisal systems and promotion policies guidelines to lead / motivate team of staff members.

17. Capable of handling disputes, possess good negotiation skills and conflict resolution capabilities to ensure healthy working environment.

18. Possess adequate knowledge on student admissions processes including mandatory disclosure policies and records.

19. Conduct periodic feedback schedules and surveys to assess learning effectiveness and student satisfaction levels.

20. Possess good understanding of the budgeting process and utilize / monitor available resources gainfully for optimum exploitation.

21. Possess good knowledge on the academic record demands from alumni and facilitation of the same with external agencies – including online verification process etc.

22. As Head of the academic admin department, provide support for strategic planning and progress of the institution to the Management / Boar

Qualifications, Experience and Competency requirements

Master’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 60% of marks Qualification in the field of Management /Education preferable.

Good Communication skills – Fluency in written and spoken English is a must. Ability to communicate in national language will be an added advantage.

Flair for Teaching / Research and / or having track record of administrative experience / leadership role in an academic role would be preferable.

Candidate should possess a min of 15 yrs of administrative work experience In the field of academic administration /teaching / leadership roles
