Job Summary
The Trainer/Domain Trainer is a position under the Acquisition, Training & Certification business. This position provides training to the Home/ Health Care Givers at different training locations as scheduled by the business team, from time to time.
This position involves imparting training as per the specified training modules in an effective and innovative manner to result in successfully trained candidates.
The Trainer/Domain Trainer will report to the Master Trainer/State Head/Project Coordinator as per the geographical location business structure.
Responsibilities and Duties
Training
- Primary duty – Impart training to the selected candidates through the specified training modules provided by the Company to help in converting students to Caregivers working at home settings.
- Keep him/her abreast with the latest in training delivery, help in content development.
- Check the availability of training mechanism , books, skill lab etc at the centers and be responsible for the upkeep of skill lab assigned
- Should be comfortable to use a variety of training strategies/methodologies/learning experiences like group discussions, role play observation, multimedia and hands on material.
- Should be able to engage the trainees in the training to derive the expected outcomes – to make them employable candidates
- Be responsible taking students to the hospital/home visit and checking their attendance, liaison with hospital
- Adhere to curriculum schedules and time-lines.
- Devise an evaluation/ assessment tool (including question banks) and plan for high pass percentage.
- Should have working knowledge of QP/NoS as prescribed by the Sector Skill Council under NSDC
- Should have working knowledge of the local language of the region
- Very strong counselling skills to counsel candidates to take up employment in home care sector
Records & Analysis
- Maintain hard copies & soft copies of the batches as per guidelines
- Proper filing of relevant documents, maintenance of the records/reports.
- Observe and track learning process of all trainees.
- Prepare assessment paper and report of the entire evaluation exercise.
- Prepare batch wise report.
- Tracking of pass out candidates and submit report.
- Report exceptions, if any.
- Be part of brainstorming exercise to improve training effectiveness, delivery, increased placements and lower attrition
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Trainer should be a BSc (Nursing) graduate from a recognized university/college with RN RM number. A GNM with 2 years of experience can also apply.
- Minimum experience of 1-2 years in Healthcare industry either as a trainer or as lecturer teaching BSc Nursing/GNMs/ Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to complete the training cycle (plan, develop, co-ordinate, monitor & evaluate)
- Must have working knowledge of personal computing, using Microsoft OS, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook
- Follows process, patient with students and presence of mind to handle tricky situations.
