This role of Team Lead is a part of our Centralized Credit Underwriting, which provides underwriting support to our secured lending vertical based across India.

The role incumbent will be responsible for for managing a team of credit managers, driving case closures, risk and portfolio management.

Location – GodrejOne, Vikhroli, Mumbai

Responsibilities –

BAU Deliverables:

  • Driving the daily productivity with minimum 4 cases decisioning.
  • Ensuring closure of cases allocated on the same day to your respective teams & facilitating closure on the transactions thereby acting as an enabler.
  • Closure of cases on daily basis not exceeding the predefined TAT
  • Daily allocation updates.
  • Case discussions including reject relooks with Credit Managers (CM), business team, Credit Head. As a TL you will be the first point of contact for your CMs helping them decisioning their cases, if the closure doesn’t happen at your level next point of contact is Lead CCU / LCH for discussion purpose.
  • Ensuring if any case is sent to any level approver is approved and closed, first to be monitored and followed by primary u/w followed by TLs.
  • Ensuring that the team members get exposure to various types of cases.

Monthly Deliverables / Activity:

  • Analysing and giving constructive feedback to the team on their critical errors as published by the risk team regularly and way forward for avoiding such instances in future. Monthly training on critical misses of the team.
  • Highlight and discuss any critical errors / misses of any team member to Head CCU for taking corrective measure.
  • Planning of monthly meetings for CCU discussion and month gone by.
  • Every month start the TLs along with CMs to suggest any new changes, process improvements, system enhancements to be provided for enhancing productivity and efficiency within the team.

New Joinee Activity:

  • New joinee under each TL to be trained on all aspects and by the end of the first month they should appear the underwriting test and start individual allocation.

People Engagement:

  • Ensure continuous engagement with team members by celebrating their wins, interacting with them to know how they are coping up, any support / help required, teaching them new concepts, appreciating for exemplary performance, or doing an extra leg of work, empowering them as and wherever possible.
  • Any support item required by CMs

Qualifications & experience

  • Years of experience – 4-7 yrs
  • Mandatory Qualification – MBA – Finance/ CA
  • Must have – Prior Salaried Underwriting experience in Home loans and team management
