- Utilities team is integral part of
The Corporate Technical Innovation and Advantage Facilities/Utilities Engineering team. This Team is responsible for designing global competitive advantage in the supply chain Facilities and utilities Engineering space by setting technical direction and strategy, developing flexible business solutions and innovative technology. The Engineer-Electrical role supports corporate & plant leaders to develops and institutionalizes global guidelines, technical specifications, and current best approaches for the electrical distribution systems and supports the Utilities Network (U-Net) & CIS engineering community of practice.
She / He supports Supply Chain engineering, global capital projects, joint ventures, corporate real-estate, and global manufacturing locations by delivering food and human safety solutions, Holistic Margin Management, and technology innovation in the Electrical distribution discipline. Job Responsibilities: 75% of Time Support Corporate Electrical Distribution System Priorities:
- Lead with Safety and Inclusion.
Promote safety awareness in strict compliance with company HSE policies and procedures.
- Preparation of specifications HT, LT switchgear panels, transformers, VFDs, Bus ducts, DC system, UPS, field instruments, cabling, earthing and plant illumination.
- Sizing of various electrical equipment such as transformers, DC system, UPS, DG set, cables, etc. in compliance to ANSI/IEEE/IS/ IEC standards and in compliance to CEIG regulations.
- Prepare equipment specifications and data sheets, develop detailed engineering calculations and drawings including the preparation of Basis of Design document, SLD, Load lists, Load schedule, cable schedule schematics, Interconnection diagrams, Block Diagrams, cable and tray routing, LER/ switch gear room / Battery room / control room layouts, inputs to Cause and Effect diagrams, Cable and tray layouts JB schedules and other specific deliverables as outlined in the contract.
- Perform specific system design calculations using SKM Power tools or ETAP, equipment sizing, UPS and battery sizing calculations and joint review with supervisor
- Coordinate with Electrical consultant & Plant Engineer to conduct Arc flash evaluation study in SKM Software & build action plan.
- Review vendor drawings and documents, design calculations and ensure vendor equipment specifications meet with Plant Design equipment specifications and are within budgeted costs.
- Prepare necessary inputs for Incident Investigation, HAZOP review meeting, design review and model review meetings, Constructability reviews with Plant and representatives of other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in the preparation and implementation of standard design guides, specifications, datasheets, and checklists.
- Coordinate & Support the Plant Electrical Engineers and corporate resources (U-Net & CIS)
- Responsible for Supporting development of Electrical engineering technology strategies that support growth, drive productivity, improve quality, and minimize losses at manufacturing locations
- Support technical liaisons for all levels of the company including production/maintenance employees, plant technical and management resources, and corporate engineering
- Support Corporate Electrical technical expert with demonstrated ability to interact professionally, effectively, and tactfully with all levels within the company and with external stakeholders.
- Able to provide positive support to other team members and departments to complete work assignments and to achieve department goals/objectives 25% of Time Electrical Analytics:
- Utilize Analytical skills to assess the Electrical Distribution process & Develop Electrical KPI’s Dashboards & Consult plant with data driven approach.
- Influence and train the Corporate & Plant leaders to adopt data driven decisions.
- Mix analytical insights with business knowledge to build Electrical Distribution Initiative.
- Utilize statistical techniques to solve business problems.
Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors Preferred Degree Requirements: Bachelors Preferred Major Area of Study: Electrical Engineering Preferred Professional Certifications: SKM Power tools, ETAP Minimum years of related experience required: 2 Years of full-time experience as Electrical Engineer in Plant Maintenance, Design or Project Team Preferred years of related experience: 5 Years of full-time experience as Electrical Engineer in Plant Maintenance, Design or Project Team Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering 2-5 years in Electrical design, Maintenance, and project engineering experience.
Working knowledge on relevant international codes & standards like IEC, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, API, IP, IMO, IALA, IACO and Offshore codes & standards from various classification societies, Food plant and GMP experience Knowledge of Utilities & Facilities equipment experience with heavy load & large capacity Refrigeration, Fire Protection, Air Compressors, Boilers and HVAC Significant knowledge and understanding of Electrical distribution engineering, technology, capabilities, and features utilized in manufacturing environments Sound analytical and problem
- solving skills with the ability to work in fast paced, ambiguous and pressure environments.
