
Role & responsibilities
Mother Teacher is a nurturing and supportive presence in the playschool environment, responsible for providing a caring and stimulating atmosphere for young children. This role involves fostering early childhood development, building a strong rapport with parents, and creating a safe and engaging learning environment.
Preferred candidate profile
Child Care and Development: Provide a warm, secure, and nurturing environment for children in the pre nursery to grade V and Day Care
Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
Foster a love for learning through creative and play-based teaching methods.
Classroom Management: Plan and organize daily activities and routines for the children.
Create a structured and organized classroom setting conducive to learning and exploration.
Manage transitions and activities with patience and positive reinforcement.
Communication with Parents: Establish open and regular communication with parents regarding their child’s progress, activities, and any concerns.
Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss individual child development and address any questions or issues.
Collaborate with parents to reinforce learning and development at home.
Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care.
Implement and uphold health and safety policies and procedures.
Respond appropriately to emergencies or incidents involving children.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of each child’s progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
Prepare and distribute progress reports and assessments to parents.
Keep records of attendance and any incidents or notable observations.
Professional Development: Stay informed about current trends and best practices in early childhood education.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Collaborate with colleagues and attend relevant workshops or training sessions.
Classroom Environment: Create a visually stimulating and child-friendly classroom environment.
Organize learning materials and resources in an accessible and age-appropriate manner.
Encourage children to explore and engage in imaginative play.
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Previous experience in a playschool or early childhood education setting is preferred.
Passion for working with young children and an understanding of early childhood development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children and parents.
Knowledge of play-based learning methodologies.
