We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist primarily responsible for the processing of USA payroll. The Payroll Specialist will be in charge of ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time as well as that the organization remains compliant with payroll laws and regulations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Calculating compensation including bonuses, benefits, taxes and contributions in compliance with state and federal laws;
• Maintaining up to date employee records including personal information, employment status, tax withholdings and benefit enrollments;
• Collecting monthly payroll data including timesheets, absences, overtime hours, bonuses and allowances;
• Reconciling internal reports and calculations against payroll vendors’ reports and calculations and investigating and resolving discrepancies;
• Ensuring all payroll reports and filings are accurate and completed on time;
• Communicating with payroll vendors;
• Responding to employee questions;
• Preparing financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes;
• Preparing periodic and ad-hoc payroll reports for review by management;
• Facilitating audits by providing records and documentation to auditors;
• Identifying and recommending updates to payroll procedures and maintaining up to date payroll manuals and checklists;
• Keeping abreast of changes in payroll laws, regulations and best practices;

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and within strict deadlines;
• Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
