Purpose of the role:

The IT Cloud Networking Engineer role at FXCM is a multifaceted production engineering position. It requires a blend of conventional networking expertise, NetDevOps proficiency, and a deep understanding of Public Cloud and Infrastructure as Code platforms like Terraform. You should be able to multitask, manage your priorities, and possess technical proficiency across a broad spectrum of technologies, encompassing traditional Networking, NetDevOps/automation, and a thorough grasp of public cloud architecture and Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform. You must excel in high-pressure, fast-paced, and ever-evolving trading production environments. Your primary responsibilities involve the design, configuration, and upkeep of our cloud-based network architecture, ensuring the dependability, security, and efficiency of our cloud network to facilitate the smooth operation of cloud-based services and applications.

Educational requirements:

•    Bachelor degree in a related area

Main Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance network architectures in the cloud environment (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Linux administration and debugging
• Knowledge of Terraform is a must, Additional knowledge of Python, Ruby, Shell Scripting is a plus
• Ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our cloud network
• Interfacing with the rest of IT, as well as Production Support/Development teams
• Network maintenance (primarily Cisco IOS/NX-OS/IOS-XR/IOS-XE)
• Cloud Network infrastructure research/architecting/engineering/support
• Automation of the Cloud Network
• Perform other assignments and tasks as assigned by Management 

Working days/hours: Monday to Friday; Fully working from the office – Indiqube Alpine (Transit) 7th Floor, Jawaharlal Nehru Road, Guindy Area – adjacent to Ekattuthangal Metro Station.
